I also got mine at the same time. Unusually cheaper than the current prices in US.

re the panny 20/1.7, i dont know why it gets less love than the 25/1.4. qualitatively, i dont see enough of a difference to justify the price disparity. and, just as a matter of personal opinion, ive always found 40s more versatile than 50s...

People's heads tell them that 1.7 isn't fast but 1.4 is... I believe... which is ridiculous, but one's mind plays tricks sometimes. Honestly though, I've seen nothing but love for the 20mm panny.

I sold my 20/1.7 and got a 25/1.4, the focusing speed improvement is significant. Don't see any difference in sharpness (I shoot mostly at f2). But the 25/1.4 does seem to have more pop to its image, could be color/contrast. While the 20/1.7 looks really sharp but a little flat. The hood on 25/1.4 is ridiculously large though, so I use a vented hood instead. Overall I like the 25/1.4 better and think the $200 price difference is justified. I am more of a 50mm person than a 35mm person so that might be why I feel this way.

Here's a few from today ... before my one and only battery ran flat :-(
Recovery time: 25mm
It's pretty dark in the free view box and the E-M5 held on to a fair bit of detail before hitting the noise floor: 12mm
View onto the field through the mesh from inside the box - spot the ball : 25mm
Some people are still using film: 25mm
Yikes ! : 25mm

Here's one taken with the PanaLeica 25/1.5 at ISO1600. I'm really apprecaiting the smooth tonality. (Shot in RAW, processed in Lightroom 4 + Silver Efex Pro 2.)

really fantastic pictures. It's a really capable small camera, too bad I can't justify investing in another system, when I can pay a bit more for a used 5D MkII which can take my Canon lenses

Yup, the old brand owned (once?) by Chrysler. It does look like it will take some time to get it back into a runner!
