M4 wind lever plastic tip

The plastic tip on the wind lever on my M4 got extremely cold, then whacked, and has just disintigrated. There are many pieces. The little screw is still there. There is no putting the thing back together that I can see. So....my question is can this little part be found? and if so, can someone as inept as I tend to be replace it?
I know I can always send the old gal off to someone but if this is doable I would like to try it. The camera is still useable, of course, just not very comfortable.
