Brown Leotax Leonon 50 f2

Hello all, I just bought a Leotax Elite wth a Leonon lens (50 f2) completely unremarkable... except for the colour of the lens barrel. It's brown. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this? I've checked the resources I know of available-nothing.http://www.rangefinderforum.com/foru...s/banghead.gif

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
mainicca

it's started out as a black anodized lens barrel
which did not age well.

Hmm Stephen is probably right - don't worry though, brown is the new black!

Is that the same lens as the LTM Topcor 50mm f=2.0? What kind of design is it? Sonnar-like? I'd wonder how it performs.

This is probably end-game late Leotax.

Hi Stephen, have you seen this before? To my eye, it looks deliberate.

Thanks,
