All this talk of M5s, sheesh!

I have some Hasselblad gear I rarely use that I'm thinking about trading...

hehe, get yourself a black M5 Frank, you will be very pleased i like the black chrome M5 A LOT, and if you share this preference, you are in luck: for they tend to be slightly less. one suggestion: don't spend more for the 3 lug, especially if you are a wrist-strap man. also the two lug vertical hang, while it takes a little getting used to, is very effective in composing your shot, for when bringing the body up to your vf-eye, it leaves the other side of your face and its free eye to make visual adjustments.

yes i can sense a M5 purchase on the horizon! let us know when you make the decision.

regards, thomas

Thanks John. You're like The Sin Eater - a classic TwilghtZone episode many years ago.

Frank,
Would you want a KEH.com BGN M5? There's a black 2 lug M5 for 789$ I would snap up if I were wanting a user M5. And M5s are meant to be used

Thanks Thomas, but I'm broke, so I'm looking for a trade first. If that doesn't happen, I have to sell the Hasselblad gear first.

IT'S YOUR FAULT FRANK!

Sheeesh. Here I am thinking something is wrong with my compy because I keep coming across I'm done, I'm not done, etc threads from you and yet the post dates say recent. I thought my internal clocky dohicky on this compy was going nutters!

No it's just Frank with a major case of GAS again!

I'm off to the darkroom now, Vlad. I've got the afternoon to myself without family and a pile of darkroom stuff to do. May post some shots this evening. The M5 may take me a while to find.

I was lusting for an M5 and just when I didn't have the money, there was one on ebay for 575$ in excellent condition. This got me sick... and I bought an M3 since then. The M5 is a cool machine, IMO.

Frank, there is an M5 on RFF for sale - by Chris. Talk to him before jumping.

Go to Classified, seller is "cjm", he just reduced his kit price

I'd like a 3 lug black M5.

It's all Franks' fault...

I'd settle for an M6 Classic though, even though it IS more money.

Blake, John said he'd take all the blame.

Sale pending on Chris' M5, but that's okay, mine's got to be black.

It's impossible to ever be satisfied! Even if you owned every single piece of Leica equipment ever produced, you'll still wonder "Maybe I should get two..."

better not to be done. Being undone is the key to happiness. If we call ourselves "done", we have called ourselves dead. To say that I am "done" is to say that I have nothing for which to live.

Frank, size wise the Blad might be more portable than the M5.
