21/24 rf-coupled lenses ?

I'm wondering if there are any rf-coupled 21mm or 24mm lenses - other than Leica, Zeiss or Voigtlander - that will mount on a Bessa R2A.

The "big three" makers are beyond my pocket at present and I prefer not to scale focus.

The Bessa's body precludes the use of any of the FSU wides because of their deeply projecting rear elements, as I understand things, so they're already ruled out.

I've googled a bit but haven't come up with anything yet. So will be interested in any suggestions

All I can think of is the M-Hexanon 21/35 -- but if you can't afford a Voigtlander lens you definitely can't afford one of these rare birds.

There was a screw mount 25/4 Nikkor, I believe, but I bet that's really pricey if you can find one.

I do not know whether adaptors exist to convert Contax-mount lenses to M mount -- I assume when you say "Zeiss" you're referring to the new Cosina-made M mount lenses. The older CZ lenses are top quality, even 50+ years later, and may be less expensive because the Contax mount is defunct.

the VC 21 and 25 are in the $400 range - I don't know if you'll come across many others for less.

The Canon 25mm F3.5 LTM is rangefinder coupled.

Great lens. Got mine for $550 after years of searching for it.

i don't think you have a cheaper option. by far the cheapest is the skopar 25/4 (cheapest modern ltm/m lens in general) but as you know it's not rf coupled (great lens though, my favourite ever, actually). Of course you could get a cheaper m42 slr lens or something and use an adapter but then you'll go uncoupled, too and more bulky of course.

I say, if you really want that focal length and can spend 250$ or so, get the skopar. I was sceptical as well first but now i even see the scale focusing with click stops as advantage. really hard to get something out focus with that one...

The 25 would be attractive were it not a bit oo close to the 28s I already own.
I think Contax-M adapters probably cost as much as a lens.
And yes, I was thinking of the older CZ lenses.

If you find the CV lenses too expensive, you might be in trouble. A lot of alternative wides have become rare and expensive. Forget the Hex 21/35 Dual. That lens goes for over 2K now, as so few were produced.

Minolta Made some rangefinder lenses for the Leica a few years back they made a
28mm, 40mm, and I think a 90mm as well they were in M mount as well.
