I was approaching an intersection and this guy kept staring at my camera with a smile/smirk expression on his face, I looked at him once but then he kept looking at my camera, I stood there waiting for the light and he was still looking, "what are you lookin at?" before he could answer the light turned green and I begun to walk so I did not hear what he had to say but when I looked back he was still standing and his smile was gone.

Hay now! I resemble that remark.

'train station': it's a railway station.

"roadway" : it's a road. If it's a highway, say highway.

"Mondee, Tuesdee," etc. No one would tolerate "It sure is a beautiful dee todee" so let's pronounce the names of the dees correctly.

"cleaning marks." No more euphemisms! Scratches are scratches.

Only English folk who cannot spell "lens" misspell it "lense", which by the way, is pronounced "len-zee".

By tunafish salad, do you mean the canned (or pouched) stuff mixed with mayo, relish and celery; or do you mean arugula, baby lettuce and spinach with a sliced seared ahi laid atop the greens, drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette?

My (and Kurt Vonnegut's) pet peeve is improper use of the semicolon.

... rewilding; why oh, why do they insist on coining these stupid new words. That one was on one of those ecology programs on Radio 4, Costing The Earth I think

... sorry about the semicolon Chris

PS actually it's poached tuna, chopped anchovies and black olives, pepper olive oil and a dash of white-wine vinegar ...

Yes, I meant mashed canned tuna with mayo, tomatoes and celery . . . the stuff they put in fast-food subs and coffee house triple deckers.

Regarding your own receipt . . . . (1) do you ship worldwide ? and (2) do you take Paypal ??

PS: I love semicolons, but even better than semicolons is " . . . . " which allows me not to have to decide when my sentences actually end.

I'm going to lunch so I won't waste the time of listing the 1000 ways this kind of mind-set annoys the livin' daylights out of me.
