COMMENT: I bought a Leica IIIa from Chris, it was described as excellent condition.. I received the parcel promptly and the camera was well packaged.

Problem occured when I found multiple light leaks in the shutter after developing my first roll.. Chris wouldn't take responsibility for it, he stated that this never occurred to him while he had it.. I found that light leaks only occur over long periods of no use and these signs showed from the first shot of the film to the last. It couldn't be possible that I caused it or that it suddenly occured.

I tried to reason with him, and asked him if I could make a return.. He wouldn't accept a return as i discovered the problem 6 weeks after I received it (I guess my mistake here was not checking it promptly).. I then asked if he could cover at least half the repair cost as the camera is not functional. He replied saying the best he could do is recommend someone to fix it but he could not cover any cost.

I am quite upset that I paid for a camera that I can't use, and will have to end up paying much more for it to get it into working condition.

Comment: I've bought one of Dante's 21mm viewfinders. As expected, the viewfinder is in great shape, as described, and it was posted quickly and efficiently with good packaging. This is my second good transaction with Dante - thanks.

COMMENT: The worse purchase I ever made on evil bay.

Fake pictures, missing items, important camera damage on baseplate. Camera returned on Paypal request (I pay shipping !) but I still don't get my money back.

BrettS--re Summaron 35 2:8 After posting questions on RFF about a Summaron he contacted me saying he one for sale that had just been serviced at Golden Touch. He did send the invoice. He represented the lens as looking outwardly a bit rough with good glass. Exaggerated the glass by a long shot...lens had fungus damage (3 large & distinct dots around the edges). He refused to take the lens back saying he didn't see any of what I was describing. This was several years ago, but just became aware of the feedback option in the last week. I would only deal with him if you could inspect the items in person.

Seller: Nikkor AIS
Item: Epson V700 scanner

I bought from seller a scanner that was described as being new in the box. When it arrived to me after a long waiting period, the parcel was very thin cardboard, and there is no padding at all to protect the scanner during shipping. I was going to try the scanner out, but no power cables or software were included, so I am unable to test it.

I sent Nikkor AIS message after message, plus email, but he is not a responsible person it seems. I am still waiting for a decent response from him. Last pm from him mentioned that he would look for the missing parts. This was two weeks ago.

When he offered me the scanner, he asked me to send payment for the scanner to another RFF member's paypal account, mentioning past satisfactory buys/sales here, which I have done. I trusted him, and I sent KEVEN the money so that he would give it to Nikkor AIS. I asked Keven to contact Nikkor AIS to reason with him about the incomplete shipment. Keven is trying, but Nikkor AIS is doing nothing about it. He took my money and sent me a scanner without cables that may or may not work.

It is disappointing to find such a treatment by another RFF member here. Stay away from Nikkor AIS.

What else can I do about it here ?
Can he continue at RFF as if nothing has happened?

Comment: It's the third camera I've bought from Maiku. As the two previous ones this transaction went perfectly fine, the Canon P and 50mm lens are beautiful and just as described. Thanks!

COMMENT: Great transaction. Bought a 21 Elmarit from him, good communication, prompt responses, very well packaged.

I am always reluctant to send money abroad, but this transaction was very smooth. Mani is good to deal with, and there was no danger of the item being damaged in transit. The lens was better than described (and better than I imagined from the photos) and works beautifully.

I would definitely trade with him again. Mani, if you read this, please sell more stuff!
