Haven't seen a decent film sale in a while. Anybody snagged something good lately? Saw a two for one offer at Walreens for Kodak Gold/Max/Whatever but the regular price was so jacked up that the deal was not worth much.

Looking into 400 ISO c41 films in particular, either BW or color.

Recently I bought ten rolls of 36 exposure 35mm B&W C41film in Saigon from Charles Chan's camera shop, cash and carry, 1$ US per roll. I shot two rolls so far and intend on dropping it off at my local Costco for processing. It appears it's re-spooled Ilford expired film being that it's not boxed and in generic cassettes. I've seen similar available in Jakarta a year or so ago. Packaged 10 rolls in plastic baggies. Price then was 50¢ per roll.

I think it's regular price but I just got 4x24 Fuji film Superia Xtra 800 for $10.49 plus tax at Walmart. And ten minutes later 3x24 of Kodak gold 200 for $5.94 plus tax at Target.

I think those are good deals.

My faul george for not specifying US-deals, but hey, if I buy a whole cargo-load worth of that chrimogenic film, it might ammortize the cost of flying to Saigon. :P

As far as the price is no more than $2 for a roll of 36 exp 35mm film, I regards it as a good deal.

Oh Gee, from what I remember it was a short walk outside of Plaza Semanggi. Not somewhere of significance though.

Freestyle are still doing the three packs of 135 HP5+ for under ten dollars ... that's very good value for a quality 400 film.

I'm not sure exactly where as it was a year ago and I did not buy the film... I just saw it for sale. I will ask my girlfriend after she wakes up as she has a much better memory than myself. However, it was a busy night time area with street vendors. Similar to Chinatown NYC. Small light bulbs above stalls with underground cellars of wears.

Rite Aid had a buy-one-get-one free deal on both Fuji Xtra and the house brand film (same thing?) last week. Came to less than $2 a roll, plus if you're in their club, you get a $3 off coupon.

Just bought 36 exp rolls of Kodak gold 100 and kodacolor 200 for $2 apiece from BH Photo, seemed like a screaming deal to me. Also, they had Acros100 in 120 last I saw, $15 propack
