Best book ID Leica lens variations?

Hi,

I recently bought Peter Kitchingman's book, Canon Lenses 1939 - 1971. I found it so useful that I am now looking for the best equivalent for Leica. Is that Sartorius', Identifying Leica Lenses? or is there something better?
And is there a way to get it w/o paying Amazon.com's elevated price (just under $200).

I'm listing it under M, but I'd also like info on the ltm lenses.

Many thanks.

Giorgio

Here is the best one, IMO: LEICA: An Illustrated History. Vol II - Lenses by James L. Lager.

How are things, Giorgio ?

Hi Roland,

Doing well, thanks, though I wish I had a bit more time so I could go shoot the lenses I've bought from you.

Thanks for the lead.

Whoa! just checked the Amazon.com price. Even higher than Sartorius. You can buy nice lenses at these prices.

Hi Giorgio,

you can get it for US 129 on http://www.camerabooks.com, for instance. It's the Leica lens bible, really good, including LTM, M and R lenses. There is a matching book on cameras (volume I) that's very good, too.

Roland.
