Which Polaroid cameras can I use 600 Plus film with?

Just found a 2-pack box (expired Sept '89) of Polaroid 600 Plus film today at a thrift store for $2. Been wanting to get a polaroid cam for a while but I always had my heart set on a SX70, which apparently isn't compatible with this film unless it is modified.

Back of the box says the film is compatible with Impulse, Cool Cam, and 600 series cameras. Is there a particular camera model that I should get that's better or more reliable than the others? Or will they all give me the same results?

Anyway - you can either use Polaroid 600 film on SX70 camera with ND filter on its lens or ND gel filter on film pack.

Ahh, so all I need is a 1-stop ND filter? I thought the mod was something more complicated than that.

The ND filter you need is 2-stop value; regarding your expired pack box I strongly doubt it still will work: the chemicals probably have dried. At any rate you can now use new ones made by Impossible; in this case you don't need any ND filter: they made dedicated film for SX70, PX100UV+ (B&W) and PX70 (Color).
