I've been away, and with limited internet access. Just seeing this thread now, and my thanks to Lynn and Richard G for the mentions, and Lynn for his comment. Much appreciated.

giant thanks to richard g, richerd berter, luiman, tigerphil and harry for the mentions. i have had to work a lot this week, so no picks until now. it has been a week of fine portraits.
my eyes are very tired, so only three picks:

merelyok:

arvay:

and dotur, with one i suspect he shot in his youth, a photo teeming with life, with possibilities:

THANKS to rogrund, luiman, print44, photony texas, and hteasley for mention. It is an honor to be included.

I am working a lot so missed many, but here are the ones I marked:

A stunner from arvay, love the tones in this (and the model):

From tigerphil, great shot of street art:

Beautiful landscape from Keith:

Couple from Crazy Fedya,

superb toilet shot:

Haunting portrait of Veronica:

Wonderful high-contrast portrait from Peter, love the way the shirt dissolves in the background:

Great atmosphere from Bingley, wish I was there:

Love the color and the "character" in this shot:

LOL .... that is a great image! It reminds me of something I saw the other day in a hotel carpark ... two characters who looked much like this guy were handing out cupcakes to people driving past in their cars!
