It's Velvia! If you don't want cartoon color and high contrast, I'd suggest using a film more attuned to reality.

Astia is a good choice:

I've been pleased with the new Portra400. You can dial in as much contrast as you like in PP. These are witha C330F http://www.rangefinderforum.com/foru...&postcount=998

Just did my first color film development with a few rolls of Ektar 100 taken on my Fuji 670. One example is below from Disney World, Florida:

I think it has the best contemporary lens in modern photography, from the web shots I've seen. Sure is a big camera though. I bet they could have made it much smaller if they had stopped at 6x6. Best of luck w/ the new camera.

Thumbs up Beautiful!

Dana, all three of these are beautiful: composition, tonality, detail. What film and processing did you use? It is images like these that make this camera so special. Great work!

Many thanks. I used Tri-X, HC-110 B, 4.5 mins at 68* F. Love this camera, though I'm afraid I may have a small light leak, and have sent it into Fuji USA for a fix.

Can some of you post samples from different types of film say print and slide? I'd love to see them from the RFF community.

... and most of the other Delta 3200 shots on my stream. I shoot it at either 1000, 1250 or 1600 and tell the lab to develop normal. I don't even tell them how I shot it. I've done this at two different labs with identical results. Most of the time I use 1,000. What you get is a nice separation of tones but a high ISO to work with. Where as if you push Tri-X to 1600, you will get a lot of blocking in the shadows, which I love also, but you don't always want to do that.

Edit: I should say that the one time I shot it at 1600 and told the lab to pull one stop, I didn't like the results... extremely low contrast was the result.
I shoot 135, but this is what I do all the time with Delta 3200. I shoot it at 1600 and don't say anything to the lab (no pull). Works great.

Good to know.

I recently had CRC develop a few E6 rolls, they're online as Vista Imaging:

http://vistaimaginggroup.com/e-6-processing/

Super happy with how they came out and they do mail order. That's useful since I live out in the burbs. (Previously, I mailed the film across the country to Samy's, but I'd lose a week to shipping alone.)

I also had them make several R-Type prints. FSM, they're beautiful. I need to get more done. I wish I could find out more about R-Type prints.

I heard about them from Jim at MV Labs, where the GF interns:
