Nikkor 5.8cm f/1.4 repair?

Is it worth it?

I just got the lens, the focus refuses to go any lower than 7 feet. I can only focus between infinity and 7 feet. There is also a dent in the filter ring. I think it could be straightened. Otherwise it's a nice looking lens.

How much did you pay? A repair like that shouldn't be too bad. From what I've heard it's not the sharpest lens ever, but has some pretty nice rendering qualities.

I was under the impression this lens was creamy smooth (not sharp, smooth), thus why I wanted to try one out.

I paid about 165 AUD fer it.
