It's the weird colour scheme that freaks me. Every time you try to operate one of these weird black controls, which are labeled in black on a black background, a small black light lights up black to let you know you've done it.

Hi Jean-Marc!
Just saw your comment. I use LightRoom 99% of the time. Sometimes i use Aperture. I do not like spending more than 30-45 seconds on post processing and i find lighroom easy to understand and work with.
Thank you for the kind words. You know how the GAS attack works ... monkey see, monkey do.
Thanks to some of the pictures on this thread, my must-have list just got bigger
