Photogs / Photo Exhibits This is the place to discuss a particular Photographer (work, style, life, whatever), as well as to post Gallery and Museum Photo Exhibitions and your own impressions of them. As we march on in this new digital world, it is often too easy to forget about the visual importance of the photographic print, as well as their financial importance to the photographer. It is also interesting to remember that some guy named Gene Smith shot with lenses that many lens test reading "never had a picture published in their life" amateurs would turn up their their noses at, as being "unacceptable."

I'll be featured in the german FAZ on april 26.

this might only be of interest for german speaking people. in the 'travel section' of the frankfurter allgemeine zeitung (april 26, 2012) there will be a feature/article about what I produced (as in 'photographs') in vancouver last year.
I don't know exactly what it's going to look like (I'm supposed to get a pdf file at some point), so I'm eager to see it myself.

it's out in today's issue! not online though, it seems.
I was a little surprised when I saw that the picture that Mrs Diener is talking about in the article (this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/simonsa...57627684315227 ) was not included in the final selection - keeps up the mystery, huh!

A whole page. Very nice. Congrats. But they messed up your homepage-url with the line break, didin't they? Because of your article I bought the FAZ, something I wouldn't do normally.

I'm glad that it's published in the travel section so I was able to understand the text. To understand the FAZ feuilleton you need at least a master of arts degree. I only have a science degree so it's nothing for me

der zeilenumbruch ist wirklich ein bisschen ungeschickt. das erklärt die merkwürdigen suchanfragen in den zugriffstatistiken, über die leute zum blog gekommen sind...

it's not online, only in the actual paper (and the e-paper version of that, which isn't free). I don't know if they'll put it on their site at some point, but if I get a PDF file, I may be able to share it.
