Close-up street shots with my trusty Chinon and a 28mm , I really could use something that makes less of a bang , but I'm kinda starting to like it. I think my topic for the day will be hot girls.

Meeting up with some fellow RFFers in San Francisco today, including Francisco who is visiting from the Chicago area. I'll be toting the M5 and an FM3A loaded with Acros and TMAX 400.

Should be a great day. Enjoy the long weekend!

It is now Saturday here in Cairo. Ex-President Mubarek received a life sentence this morning. Not much else is happening here

What are you doing this weekend?

It seems that a second round revolution has started in Egypt. I better be careful, but it is so tempting to go to Tahrir Square and join the masses.

Wow raid, if you do then please be careful!

We have the Tour de Luxembourg bike race this weekend. I went to the steepest hill on my bike and my backpack loaded with my OM2, 85/2, & 135/2.8 and some HP5+ to try my hand at some old school manual focus sports photography in B&W. I got right up close to the riders a couple of times but as an experienced rider know not to get too close

Tomorrow is the finale in Luxembourg City, and I'll go but more for good street shooting. I don't expect to get as close to the action due to the crowds.

Cheers,
Rob

I still am unsure what to do Rob.
When I see the masses on TV, I feel like driving over there.
Then I think of my family.

WELL.

I woke up early to see if it was worth going out to central for the Queen's Jubilee but it's RAINING and COLD and UGLY.

I still want to go though *sobs* but I doubt there'd be space for me to photograph, it's too crowded now perhaps.

But I'm going to Barcelona tomorrow so definitely will shoot more over the next few days.

My nephew had his wedding. Big familiy party, most of them from south Italy. It started Friday evening with only the familiy. Saturday was the official day with all the guests. The weather changed to very sunny by then: My nephew was very lucky, given we we have endless rain north of the Alps since Saturday night.
Because there was two hired photographer ladies (with the usual Canikon zoom gear) I could enjoy the ceremony, the banquet and the party as a guest. Nonetheless I put a few rolls through my Hexar RF (HP5+@1600 and my first Delta 3200 on Friday, then Ektar 100 for daylight and Superia 1600 for the Saturday party).

This was a rainy weekend, with 13.5 inches in one day alone. Parking lots turned into lakes, with water reaching the top of car doors. No photography for me. I am not interested in photography of distressed people, and the light was not good. I did take for a friend and his children some snapshots with his Bessa R and J3.

What have you been doing this weekend?

I am finishing off 3 rolls in three Nikon Rf's - left over from the trip back from Europe. Also starting to process 50+ rolls from the trip. 48-49 rolls of Arista 400 Premium and a handful of Orwo Un 54 100 iso movie stock. Came back late yesterday so jetlag is still a bit prominent. Might just do 10 tonight. From experience I know that film processing and jetlag does not mix well!

Welcome back Tom. I went 100% digital in my recent trip to Egypt. There is no film at all.

Not much rain here,

Spent a few hours scanning film.

There was a small accident at the intersection in front of my house on Saturday. A young girl was knocked off her bike by a car. No harm done thankfully.
I shamefully admit my first thought was "Where's my camera?" instead of "Where's my phone" when I heard the screeching brakes and the thud. Didn't take the camera outside. And the phone wasn't needed.
In the end I just held up traffic for a minute so they could clear the intersection.
The young lady driving the car had gotten a bit of a scare. The girl just shrugged at the whole thing.

Sunday I went out for a long walk with my Leica M3.

We had an RF meet in Manchester on Sat.
The city was quite and I only managed a few frames with an M3 / 50 Sonnar. Film was APX400S.
Good to see everybody got back safely.

Manchester sounds good to me too
Until then, let's enjoy our weekends where we live.

I will do something for sure, and I will enjoy every moment in choosing camera gear and target. I already have placed my digital equipment aside as I miss using my film gear. Yesterday, I used a vintage 21mm W-Rokkor on a Standard Leica. It was such a beautiful combo to use. I also used the Rigid Summicron on the M6.

What will you be doing this weekend? I wish you a good one.
