Forum runner is up and running

RFF now supports Android and the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad natively with Forum Runner!

What is Forum Runner?

Forum Runner is an Android/iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad App that allows you to browse this forum using a native client. This means faster access for those users since it only downloads the actual forum information rather than all the extraneous images that slow down the mobile connection.

Forum Runner Feature List

  • Browse your favorite forums in an easy-to-use-interface with multiple notification types (private message, subscription, etc)
  • Fully customizable home screen with your favorite forums
  • PUSH NOTIFICATION SUPPORT : Get private message and subscribed thread updates from your favorite forums in the background!
  • Poll updates (private messages/subscriptions) from favorites on home screen - shows you a summary of which forums you have new messages or subscriptions on!
  • Image attachment thumbnail and full size viewing from threads
  • View a thread's image attachments in one convenient screen (much like the native iPhone "Photo" app)
  • Save thread images to your iPhone/iPod touch library
  • Fully search-able forums!
  • View embedded links without leaving the app, including YouTube videos
  • Supports portrait AND landscape mode
  • Full posting options (quote posts, start new thread, etc)
  • Attach unlimited photos from your library (or take a photo from the camera and attach it)
  • Full support for private messages and private message folders
  • Full support for thread subscriptions - track your favorite threads and be updated via push when they have new posts!

Mobile Users Rejoice!

I went to RFF today on my iPhone and got a message that there's an app that works with the site now. Being as I already had Forum Runner I fired it up and, lo and behold, it works like a charm on RFF!

Great to have a mobile version again! Thanks to Stephen and team for making it happen!

Maybe it makes a difference on a smaller phone screen, but I am a creature of habit. I will stick with the browser on my iPad.

Thumbs up Too bad you don't have a NOOK version.

I haven't rooted mine yet, and so I can load this, unless B&N adds it to their app store.

Good to know a version exists if I buy an iPad or smartphone though. The forums are usealbe on the NOOK, I just prefer a keyboard to the touch interface.

Forum Runner is great

Better than Tapatalk, and if it works better for the server, then that's great.

Is there a way to get to the gallery in Forum Runner? I haven't found one. I end up using Safari, and it tells me to use the app on every page refresh doing that.

Hey Forum Runner pros, is it possible to place a classified ad on RFF using Forum Runner?

Could you please figure out a way to stop the forum throwing super annoying popups every time I click on something? I am not going to use the app and these popups are not going to convince me otherwise.

Installed it a few days ago o my new phone, seemed to work fine, then upgraded to the "pro" version and now can't get to RFF. The app crashes every time. I am asking the folks at forum runner also.
Anyone else having trouble with it?
Rob
