$1000 Rokkor or Leica 40 mm by the end of the year?
Two EX/M Minoltas sold on Ebay for $820

Will they be users or safe queens for sale later on. Prices are getting higher with average prices around $500 now for them

Two Leica's cracked the $600 mark at $600 and $620. Less of them for sale than the Minolta though

i bought a summicron-c 40/2 together with a nonworking cl for $400 on ebay within the past year. i think like anything else, deals are out there, just a matter of perserverence. btw, having shot contax/5d combo for a long time, i never had a better IQ lens than this one.

It's a decent focal length for 1.5x crop factor. I think that has more to do with it than anything else.

I tried out many lenses on the EP-2, and the 40mm Summicron gave me very sharp images. I noticed how well it did compared with several other lenses.

two years ago I paid € 150 for a CLE Version, This year I paid € 300,-- for the older CL version...oh my.

I paid £300 for a clean Rokkor 40/2 this year. Couldn't find anything much cheaper but I love it on the CL, rather than the front heavy Zeiss 50. Turned the outfit into a keeper and I like the colour rendering with Ektar.

Summicron-C: It came with the CL. I sold the camera but I kept the lens.

lens prices are getting a bit wonky right now.

anything decent or better on M is just ridiculously expensive right now.
