How's that AR-1 working for you? Do you feel that it's an improvement over the stock shutter release?

Thank you!

It's definitely an improvement over the regular release, required VERY little pressure.. but it's very easy to accidentally set it off... Unfortunately, I always waste a shot or two when it's on.

A sweet little FE I picked up years ago from the original owners daughter. It came with two lenses. A 50 f2 and 35 f2.8, both AI'ed F mount. The whole set is in mint condition with hoods and caps.
I just loaded her up with Panatomic X.

Travis,

What impresses me the most is that every body is fitted with a lens! Very nice.

Congrats, didn't know or maybe just not remembered you having an interest in the Nikon rangefinders. This one should fit in well with your early conversion BP Barnacks, that I have enjoyed viewing and admired.

Thank you, Mike!
Actually I've been shooting with Nikon rf's for about 20 years! I was a NHS-member too. I gave it up because I wanted a black camera, but they were far too expensive.
Now the prices are dropping I finally could get one.

Erik.

New-to-me 64 F

Does anyone know how much these are worth? EP marked, and it has the older rangefinder-style hollowed film advance. I think it's from mid 1961.

Not sure that the "exchange post" marking adds value to a chrome body F. Without holding the camera it's hard to determine the condition but it appears to be a clean example, perhaps a KEH exec & not exec+ rating because of the small ding in the prism. KEH has a chrome in exec condition for $339. Not sure that they will actually get that. Anyway gives you a ballpark value.

Thanks! I'm probably going to keep it, I have a 70s Photomic FTn that I started on but this one feels much better to me, the advance lever is much more comfortable and smooth somehow, so I'll sell the FTn. And unless there's something special about the earlier focusing screens, I'm going to replace this one with a K screen from a F3. And then adapt a Contax Zeiss 50mm f/1.7 T* for it! Hah. A bit unethical, and I like the rendering of older Nikon lenses, but I haven't been satisfied with any of the 50/1.4's and the 5.8cm has been pushed out of my budget.

Kevin,
Congrats on your new lens. not only is the ltm version a rare one, but finding one with the original box & case is almost impossible to locate. Beautiful condition too!
