Accidentally fired the flash on that last one, while I was doing some testing. I'm happy that it just caused a spot on the bus and none on the faces. Might even have turned out for the best, because the bus was driving!

Great stuff, Maggie. The hat hanger/sculpture composition is so cool. and the picture of Michael really shows off the low-light abilities of the X100. Thanks for posting these.

I'm seeing some beautiful images in here but I'm also seeing lots of ho-hum stuff.
I guess with all of the hype surrounding the X100 I expected better...

This has nothing to do with the X100. People all like the idea of street photography, but few can execute in a way that engages the viewer. They think that stealth is a license to take a skewed photo of the back of people. They would be better served engaging in the surroundings and taking shots where there is something to say and something for the viewer to engage with. But this isn't a problem with the X100, it's a problem with the type of photography and its ordinary executing.

Love those two from Oldskewl88.
Within a couple of pages of this long thread starting there were some brick wall focus critics, and it probably is fair to say that not every image posted is top notch, including some of those from photogrpahers who are extremely good, but overall the thread has shown fantastic pictures as well as pictures demonstrative of this little camera's great capability. It will surely pass 1000 posts and for anyone wondering whether to get an X100 it is a fine resource.
