Compur shutter cleaning/repairs in UK

Hi - I have three cameras fitted with Compur shutters and they are all a bit sticky at the low speeds - I suspect they need a clean.

I don't have the confidence to tackle it myself, so can anyone recommend a repair shop in the UK, and give me an idea on pricing please? (Is it £20, £50 or £500?)

Really appreciated!

For the record:
Isolette II Prontor S or SV (shutter is branded Agfa), Vito B and Contina IB both with SVS (Apotar, Color-skopar and Novicar respectively)

Someone who is highly recommended by many people is Ed troszka, Euro Photo Services, 150 Harrowgate Drive, Birstall, Leics. LE4 3GP, tel. 01162674247.

I have had a Retina IIIc repaired by him -- the viewfinder/rangefinder needed cleaning and there was a broken part in the shutter release mechanism and it generally needed servicing -- and he did a great job. It cost around £60, I forget the exact amount.

I will second Ed Troszka who did a thorough job on my Olympus 35RD with slightly sticky shutter blades after a previous service from someone else whom I bought the camera from. Came back like new, with everything calibrated and working smoothly. Reasonable rates and quality work.

Yes, I'll third Ed--he resurrected an almost dead Contax shutter which had numerous problems to first class condition. He would very likely do a similar job on any Compur.

Regards,
D.

Ed T is a great guy. I bought a lovely Contax IIIa and a Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta from him ... both were serviced by him before sale... both worked perfectly.

On the internet there is this address for him. (The problem in finding it is getting all those consonants in the right order. I mis-spelled his name before.)
e.trzoska@ntlworld.com.

Hope this helps.

Should point out that Ed has about a year long waiting list (he certainly did when he serviced my Contaflex and M42 58mm Biotar lens acouple of years ago), but he does great work. I've had good service recently with Camera Repair Workshop in Milton Keynes. They serviced my Pentax SV and Fuji GS645w.
