FED2 RF vertical adjustment

FED2 RF vertical adjustment
I read the instructions in the stickies.
My question is if I can perform the vertical alignment of the rangefinder spot without taking the top of the camera of.
My FED-2 has only a slight vertical disalignment between image and the spot. It is nervy but before I damage the camera by disassembling I would better live with it. But when I could fix it only by rotating the ocular lens then I would give it a try.

No, vertical alignment shouldn't require any major disassembly. Just remove the cover of/collar around the RF window, and you'll see two notched rings. The outer brass one is to remove the RF window, and the inner black one is to adjust the vertical alignment. Simple as that.

Just to be shure: This would not affect horizontal adjustment, right?

yes it does, if you change vertical alignment, you have to adjust horizontal again.....
