This may be heresy...but--the new Velvia 50 and Provia 400X may be what you are looking for.
May not help the Great Yellow Father, but for 100+ years--they've had their chance!

Thanks Paul. I've used both Velvia 50 and Provia 400x. I really like the latter except for its price . I also like the Provia 100f. My problem is that while I liked Kodachrome for every purpose, I feel that Velvia 50 is definitely more of a specialist film and the other Fuji offerings don't give me the colors I would prefer. My search may be over though as I just finished a 120 roll of Rollei CR200 and I think it may be the best replacement I've found so far.

Five a Second. Chicago's Bell & Howell Co. (cameras) announced that it would put on sale this fall the world's most expensive still camera. Its "Foton" will take five 35-mm. pictures a second, sell for $700. Bell & Howell, which has found that "families of both low and high incomes now spend over $550" for movie equipment, hopes to sell 20,000 Fotons a year.
