"Same procedure as every year James" - *Dinner For One* - Happy New Year!
"Same procedure as every year James"
The one...the only...the original ~ "Dinner For One" a German New Years tradition since the early 1970's.
http://www.ndr.de/unterhaltung/comed...forone191.html
Follow the link please and then (CLICK ON THE HQ BUTTON) in the middle of the page, the first 2 minutes of the video is in German (not important) but the rest is English and it's one of the funniest sketches you will ever see, it is known all over Europe and is MUST for bringing in the New Years celebrations.
Bring your new year in right and laugh yourself silly.......Enjoy!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
and some GREAT SHOOTING FOR 2012!

It is a perennial "re-run" on Swedish TV at New Years (at lest for 20-25 years in the 70's and 80's). Even though you know every step and action - it is till one of the best comedy sketches ever made.

Well-loved in Germany, indeed. I remember having about half a dozen starting times to pick from, between the various public TV channels on the satellite, even 15 years ago.
I'm old enough to remember that the German announcer used to say "than last year" originally, until a united front of English teachers demanded a correction. I think you can still hear that the "as" is dubbed.

I first saw it with German friends in a small village in Bavaria on New Year's Eve. We all had a laugh.

No problem......I can't get anymore Guy Lombardo anymore for New Years, but "DFO" anyways brings back great memories of Germany and also the joy of sharing it with friends every New Year.
Ahhh tomorrow I have to post something Very Special for any of my friends here at RFF who are AVID PINK FLOYD FANS!!!!!
Have to post it somewhere under general use here, but my friends will be BLOWN AWAY!
Ohh and I make a New Years resolution to take MORE photos of PinUp Girls in 2012 *the M8 is fixed and ready* ..............2011 was a VERY HARD YEAR!
Cheers
Tom

This is indeed a yearly running gag for our family too. I like it so much, this sketch.
Frohes Neues Jahr, auch den D-A-CH RFF-Kollegen hier!

Thank you Tom for the timely link! It was a hit with my guests last night. One commented that she could just imagine Tim Conway in the James role...

Some 20 years ago the Danish television decided not to broadcast this on New Years eve - their telephone lines were blocked for 3 days by protesters
