Leica M6 1 second

Hi.

Is it normal for leicas, particularly the m6,the 2nd curtain moves a wee bit faster than the 1st curtain (only noticeable when doing 1 second exposures)? I can see it moving in gradually for a few miliseconds, then the thing fully closes. Video up tomorrow!

If you mean the 2nd curtain starts to enter the film gate shortly before it closes, that's commonly seen where the shutter could use a little service. However, if all speed are good and it only occurs occurs for a very short time before closing, I wouldn't bother correcting it until the camera needs more service for other items, as it's unlikely to affect the image.

looks fine to me. A few of my M's do this. You'll never see any effect to pics.
I just checked both my M6's, one just back from CLA and they both do it.

Not me, just replaced the one I sold a few years ago! That's a titanium isn't it? You'll get good money for that so you shouldn't have to add too much cash.

I don't see why, a member asking for help with the aid of a video to explain exactly what he was talking about. Using the tools available to him got an answer. Where's the problem in that?
