A&I Photographic Stops Developing E6

A&I's recent email newsletter says that "due to industry shifts and demand," they are done developing E6 slide film as of 12/23/11. C41 and B&W to continue.

I am just falling in love with Provia 100F through my M3. Hope I'm not boarding a sinking ship. (Clutching Dwayne's mailers.)

This is a bit of a surprise. At the risk of turning this into a 'death of film' thread, everyone reckoned that E6 would be the first to go, as it offers so few advantages over digital, but for such a major player to quit now is indeed a shock.

Thanks for passing on the news.

Cheers,

R.

Uh oh . . . hope they are honoring their prepaids until then. I'd better load up some slide film, I guess.

As long as Samy's keeps going at $5 a roll, I'll cling to my Provia.
