Argus RF Forum for Argus RF nuts. The American made Argus C-3 may be the most prolific rangefinder, with over 3 million cameras produced! While American RF nutz of the 1950's may have yearned for a Leica, Zeiss, Canon or Nikon, most of them used an Argus !

Arrgus C-4... should I or shoudln't I ?

Was out spelunking today, and ran across a fairly decnt looking C-4.

The camera is cosmtically nice, and shows little to no wear across the film gate / pressure plate.

The glass looks good, although dusty.

Nice ER case.

Now the issues...

1 ) Focus us frozen - not sure if this is at the lens helical or at the finger-wheel around the RF window.

2) Shutter doesn't fire.

Asking price is $35, could probably get it for $25.

Or is it a doorstop ?

( no, it does not have the Geiss interchangeable lends conversion... )
