Pricing advice on Mamiya 7II
I am considering selling my Mamiya 7II kit. I really love it, but I have some many different systems that I just don't use it that much any more. I know I would get more by splitting it up, but I am wondering what people here would think a fair price would be for the following as a package:
- Mamiya 7II, black, in perfect working condition and a few small marks here and there
- 43mm lens with hood and finder
- 65mm lens no hood
- 150mm lens with finder
- Complete panorama adapter
- Mamiya Polarizer with adapter and case
BTW, I am not offering this for sale here now, I just need help sorting out the pricing. I am still on the fence about selling.
The used market is wild right now, and not just for Leicas. Asking prices are all over the place. I used to use KEH as a good gauge of reasonable pricing, but they have been way over the top lately - evidently keeping their old pricing model for buying gear and using ebay-gouger asking prices for selling.
Thanks

A lot depends on condition of each. Boxed? Papers?

Good question - I do not have boxes for most of the items, I believe I can find the box for the 43mm. The body has some slight scratches but is in overall excellent condition.
The 150 does have a slightly bent filter ring, but the polarizer still works fine, I think it could be straightened easily enough and the paint is not scratched. All the lenses have perfect glass, other than maybe some dust here and there.
I think a KEH would consider all the gear at least EX and most of it EX+.

I'd take the risk with a figure around 3000 Euro (whatever that is in USD).
Say 800 for the body, 900 for the 43mm, 750 for the 65mm, 600 for the 150mm, 100 for the panorama kit and another 100 for the polarizer.
I have a M7II with the 80mm lens and they go for around 1200 Euro. I am looking for the 50 or the 43 (not sure yet which one to choose) but I'd pay around 900 Euro for one in excellent shape from a respected seller (the 50mm being somewhat cheaper than the 43mm when new, I expect the same will happen in the second hand market)

Thanks jnoir, that is good information. I suspect a little downward adjustment may be in order for the US market, hopefully others will be able to weigh in.

The pano kits are worth about $100 (Australian) brand you from stockist in Hong Kong if that helps.

I bought one and they are genuine.

A quick search on EBay with the "completed transactions" parameter selected will tell you what things have actually been selling for at auction by date sold. You cannot get much better data than this. And it only takes a few keystrokes.

Thanks Bob,of course that is true for auction listings, but I continue to find that my attempts at pricing based on eBay, with a % discount, results in my items languishing in the forum B&S for long periods of time. But maybe I am just an unlucky seller!
