Need Help in Identifying Problem in Scans.

Shot a wedding a while back with Tri-X & wanted to get some scans of my negatives. The negs came out looking good from the development but this is what came back on the CD. Does anyone have an idea what happened. Could this be from scanning the wrong side of the negative? I plan to take it back & I wanted to have an idea what to tell them. I never had this problem before. Thanks.

Never seen anything like this. If you can get a friend to scan one of the negs then you can go back to where they were scanned and show them what it should look like. Sorry I can't be much help but since the negs look good then clearly the problem lies in their scans and or CD.

It looks like they used Digital Ice when scanning which is a no-no with silver based film!

Yes, this is what it looks like when I've done it.
May I suggest the "chromogenic" films such as Ilford's XP-2 which scan very well with Digital Ice.

Thanks, I'll tell them they need to cut off the digital ICE. Suprisingly I never had this problem when I took my b&w negs to WalMart & had them scanned.
