My wife has an M8 and a 35/2.5 summarit and a 75/2 Apo.
She does not use it much though.
However my wife and I got together after we were both attending sessions in the same photoclub...but no darkroom activity at that time..

My wife is pretty hard to impress and Leica dosn't do it for her. She happily uses a Panny FZ 50 for her needs. That is perfect for me, she is happy and it costs me little.

My wife likes to take pictures and takes many...too many! She uses a simple film Nikon SRL, where only has to choice among the symbol of the mountain or the flower or the face or the running man. But she is getting a good eye. I plan to buy her a DSRL to spare some money in printing. She ask me to teach her to use manual camera but then she prefers the automatic one...

Spouses and M's?

My wife has a D90 (and I'm thinking about a X1 for the mistress - that's the "M", right?). She has a couple of pro photographer friends who got me interested again after a long absence. She likes the ease of digital; I, film (but borrow her Nikon often).

I am in love with the composite woman here: cosmopolitan and terrific with a fast Leica, breaks clays with the boys and can fly a bush plane in the Rockies. (Send pictures and I'll see to the X1. Dying to borrow it.)

For a male camera addict I would reverse the usual form of this. What is the definition of a successful woman? She who can earn money faster than her husband can spend it. And the definition of a successful man? He who can find such a wife.

I have to show my wife every time she uses her Nikon P&S how to turn it on and what button to mash (press) to take a picture. She lost the camera case the last time she used the camera.

If she can recognize what she took a picture of it is a good picture in her eyes.

My wife uses her Nikkormat FTN she got when she went off to college, '74. But she often likes to just ask me for whatever is hanging on my neck. I oblige, it seems to allow the toys to keep coming.

My wife did use a Nikon F50 and a Tamron 28-200. Now she just uses my digital Ixus. She does not like rangefinders or manual SLRs.

My wife doesn't like using the M9 or Zeiss Ikon. When I had an FM3a, she would at least agree to use it to take a group photo, for example.

When I got a GF1 and 20/1.7, she had taken it within a few weeks. Now it is hers. She prefers the 20mm prime to the zoom and sees no reason to use M lenses with the adapter. We have the EVF for the GF1, but she doesn't like it. She prefers the LCD on the back.

She mostly uses the GF1 to take photos of her quilts, clothes, and other sewing projects.

My girlfriend has a Nikon DSLR and a 24-120 lens. She thinks using film is stupid (but has learned to say polite things about my photography just the same.)

Not a M, but my wife use with joy my Bessa R.
Interestingly, she preferred FL 50mm (Canon 50/1.8) over FL 35mm.
Classical taste...

Otherwise, a Canon G10.
