CIS (continous ink feed systems)

I am rephrasing my last post about photosmarts.

Has anyone taken the leap to CIS?

The two suppliers that I can find are MIS, which is inksupply.com, and www.ultragamut.com.

MIS/inksupply seems to have followers on Pbase, and ultragamut offers a 100% satistaction money back.

Seeing that printers are not as expensive as ink... it seems like a worthwhile gamble.

Any anecdotes?

On alternate printing news, I sent JPGs to Adorama for their $2.50 11X14 sale, and, well, very good! The B&W was the best, and the color was good, but not as good (but almost as good) as my <trade secret combo>

Their RC matte paper is really more like semi-luster-matte. Test pictures with snow in them were excellent, far better than any ink- or lazerjet.
