Ilford HP5, KOdak T400, Ilford Panf F, any C41 colour neg. pref. ISO 400, and any other B&W film I can get (even 1960 made Plus X stored in the Antarctica at -15 C for over 30 years).

the ones I checked plus ones not in the poll like Arista EDU 100-400, Arista premium 400 which is Tri-X 400 which I also shoot. I also use quite a bit of Plus X 125. I also have a few rolls of the old T-Max 400 film I'm shooting.

Which one?
I am not familiar with all the films..I used BH's Catalog to make my 12 picks that I thought may be readily available to most...in the USA anyway.. Don't know the popular brands in other places.

From the ones listed, I use T-MAX 400 and BW400CN, but I also use Tri-X and Plus-X, and I intend to start using adox CHS 100

You forgot Tri-X 400.
I shoot Tri-X 400 and TMY-2 400, with a sprinkling of Delta3200.

Foma 100 (120 & 4x45)
my remains of the dreary Classic 400 (4x5)
HP 5 (4x5)
T-Max 400 (135 & 120)
Acros (135 & 120)
APX 100 (135)
In 135 mostly APX, followed by the creamy TMX-2
The Foma is a tricky old-school film with quite a bit of contrast, but once tamed quite nice. use it for 4x5 because there is no APX there...
I loved Tri-x 320 in 120 for my hot light studio work, but it's gone. so I need to find an alternative: any ideas? (The spectral sensitivity was special)

Well, I actually don't use Tri-X all that much, I'm more an Hp5 kinda guy, although I do use Tri-X at 800/1600- i find it pushes better than Hp5.
But one of my favorites is not on the list: Fuji Neopan 1600.
I'll shoot whatever I have, but my most used would be:
Hp5
Neopan 1600
