Dr. Schleussner Golf Camera

I have just gotten hold of a Dr. Schleussner Golf Camera, "2 1/4 x 2 1/4 folding rollfilm camera" according to the instruction sheet). The body has "Dr Schleussner" on the left front where I,ve seen "ADOX" on pictures of the same camera also called a "6x6 German rolfilm camera".

The lens has: Cassar 1:4.5 f = 75mm VL 844468 Steinhiel Munchen. It says PRONTO at the lens bottom. It has Golf embossed on the front of the brown leather camera case. The camera seems to be in very fine condition, the only exceptions are that the case is torn apart at the fold in the botton front and the view thru the view finder is a bit "cloudy.

It includes a folded instruction folder (2 pages front and back = 4 pages)(U.S. distributor: Saul Bower) and another instruction sheet (the front looks like an ad for the camera, the back has instructions on loading and taking the picture).

Can anyone tell me when this was made and how much it might be worth?

I hope this is the correct forum. This is my first use of the forum. Thank you.

The Adox Golf I was made in 1952: this appears to be what you have. "Dr. Schleussner" was the original name for Adox: the name was changed to Adox in 1947, but apparently the older name was still being used in some cases when your camera was made: yours would therefore be a very early example of the Golf I. According to the current edition of Jim McKeown's Price Guide, the Golf I is worth $20=$30.
Hope this helps. Peter D

I have seen a nice Adox Golf go on E Bay for around $50.00 USD. I felt that this was too
much for the camera. I did purchase a nice clean and working one with the leather Adox
ever ready case from a used camera shop for $35.00. I am please with the camera and have also added a cold shoe mounted rangefinder to help with proper focus.
