This is going to be big - I've been waiting for one of these modern Pens for ages now, and if it is indeed unveiled at this show, it will be very interesting to see what it is.

I'm willing to bet olympus has put a LOT of time and effort into this...

Resurrecting half-frame is sure going to be a bomb, so may be it's just a ceremonial anniversary.

I think I'm missing something, maybe this has been talked before, but all I see in that translated web-page is announcement to exhibit the old Pen cameras that we're all familiar with.

What's new about it?
And what's that "Phantom prototype" ??? a digital Pen-FT with Pen F mount powered by m4/3rd sensor?

Yeah, and pigs will fly too, right?

This is just an exhibit of the 50'th anniversary of oly-pen half frame cameras. There is no new camera coming out! It would be a cool exhibit to see though. I like my oly Pen EES-2. Here is an exhibit of what it can do. I think i'll run another roll through it to help celebrate the 50 years, Anybody with me?

Oh great.

Just found another camera I just need to have. I mean, so small, so cute, so "unique", I barely understand how I managed to live without mine for so long.

Somebody please lock my ebay account...

No, really, such a cool camera

Yes they are pretty and usefull.
Unlike Rangefinders, you can come CLOSE with them (1ft).
I'm still strong. Still just 2 bodies and 5 lenses ;-)

I like this shot, gb.

Shooting a half-frame means never having to rotate your camera 90 degrees for a portrait!

Sure! but right now I'm out with a bad foot from an injury I got at work. How about we start on Sun May 3rd? Right after Commie Camera Day which is May 1st. Gives people time to get ready & Kohze who posted above to buy one! We can go from May 3 to 9.

Films have improved so much since Olympus introduced the Pen series that half frame could be a seriously useful tool. If you figure the short side of the negative is 18mm for the Pen vs. 24mm for full frame you you don't really need all that much more magnification and the lenses are superb!

Or maybe somebody like Stephen Gandy could convince the Cosina guys to make a half frame M mount body? I'm first in line!

Indeed, I'm having a lot of fun with half frame. The 'sensor' is bigger than APS-C, so it's plenty big enough.

Sorry Al, you be second in line - behind me! Think Acros 100 in 1/2 frame or even EFKE 25!!!!
