FILCA and LTM Copies

Has anyone used a Leitz FILCA film cassette on a screwmount copy as opposed to a Leica LTM? I have a Tower and a Canon IVSB (on the way) and was wondering if the FILCA cassettes would work with these cameras. I don't have any to try out and would welcome any thoughts or experiences with these before I take the plunge.

I don't know if the Canon and the Tower have the little thingy that opens the cassette in the camera: but if you want to roll your own, there are other options.
