Question Jupiter 35MM lens

I'm sure that this has been posted before but I did not find. So, HELP.
My 35mm Jupiter is in trouble. I keep a 52mm screw-in lens cover on it and, removing that, I now find that the ring to set f-stops is disconnected. I can still make settings [with tweezers, etc. but find that a bit awkward. The lens is not work cost of repair IMHO but I like it. Any suggestions?
Johne [John E.L.Robertson] BTW, I am a klutz with small repair work.

Perhaps this web page can help?

Or if you can post a photo of the problem, it might be easier to tell you what to do.

wlesisiii:
Thanks for the info. I have a 40.5 to 52mm step up ring installed to allow me to use 52mm screw in lens cap. This tends to cover the threads for the setting of f-stops. By removing the lens cap. I now have to put part of a finger into the adaptor ring to make contact with the f-stop setting ring. which is very narrow and knurled. Do-able but clumsy. Any suggestions? The disassembly instructions are most thorough but daunting to me.,Any recommendations for a competant [cheap] repairman? Thanks
Johne

BTW, the lens is for LSM while the sample is for Kiev. Any difference in disassembly? Just curious.

For what it is worth, I added a skylight 1A filter and then the step up and now I can make the whole rig work. See my post date in the gallery for the camera. Johne
