loss of functionality after firmware update?

previously, the x100 had a function where the black scroll wheel on the back could be pressed to quickly zoom in/out on the LCD. this feature was invaluable for manual focusing. after updating the firmware to 1.10 i seem to have lost that function. it might need configuring, but i cannot find the appropriate settings. am i missing something?

Very helpful, mep. (Not.)

Anyway, the answer is that you need to be in M focus mode (selector switch on front of camera body). Works beautifully, especially after the 1.1 FW update.
