Bessa advance

Can Bessas be advanced with multiple strokes or only a single one?

(Oh, I can hear the jokes formulating. . . .)

With the Bessa L no, but with the R*A yes, but it's quite a short stroke if one does it in one

Actually, in the R2M (which I use) you can advance the film in one large (but not that laarge) stroke or in two shorter strokes (or even more). It´s not like in SLRs in which you don't finish a stroke then you have to go back to the point you left it and then finish the complete stroke. In the bessa you do the first half of the stroke and then again the first half and it is done. Not sure if i'm explaining it very clearly
