A reminder to tighten screws and retainers

if you repair your own cameras, make sure that you tighten screws and things so that they're secure.

the retaining ring for my rolleiflex's shutter lock fell off yesterday. I found it later but that's sort of an important part and it would have been pretty bad if I hadn't found it.

I've also lost bits off of my M2- once one of the flash synch clips fell off and also I lost the random screw on the top plate several months ago. the hole's now covered with tape.

umm, basically make sure all retainers are tight so you don't lose camera parts like I do. especially if you're going on some sort of trip and don't really want your stuff to break down. I guess this is sort of obvious but it's not something usually on people's minds.

cheers.
