Question for 250 year Anniversary Bessa Owners

I'd like to hear about this also, Adam. Specifically, have the later Bessas improved upon their tendency to jam during film transport and get their frames misaligned with a hard knock. I've had a couple of the older ones and always thought they performed well except for the issues above.

Can't comment on the R3M but I have the R2M 50/2 Anniversary set and couldn't be happier. Haven't had any of the problems mentioned by Dick above. If I'd bought the Bessa first years ago there's no way I would have got a new M6ttl.

I use the 50/2 Heliar anniversary edition on my Bessa R and on the m7 and it is a superb lens!

I use it on a M9 and I have to agree. Not sure why it isn't more popular.

I have had the Bessa 250 with the Heliar 50f2 since it came out some years ago. It is a very good camera - even when compared with a Leica M6. One reason why I prefer it over the M6 is the fact that the 75 frames are freestanding - not cluttered together with the 50 mm as in the M6.
As for durability - not a single problem. OK, it is not as quiet as the M6 - but by no means noisy - just a more mechanical "clack" to it. The finder is second only to the Zeiss ZM.
The 50f2 Heliar has in many ways replaced my Summicron 50's as "day to day" 50. Very well built too. The collapsible feature is really not a big deal as it only drops in about 8-9 mm. For all practical purposes - I never bother to collapse it.
