I'm looking to purchase a Bronica RF645 and wondering where one goes to repair such cameras?

Update from Tamron: Bronica RF645

Here's the word from Tamron:

Unfortunately we are running out of parts and our service of that equipment will terminate in October of this year. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Regards,

Customer Service
Tamron USA, Inc.
10 Austin Blvd.
Commack, NY 11725

Kinda lowers my interest in looking for one of these cameras. Anyone have thoughts on the where to send the Bronica RF645 post-Tamron support??

Thanks,
Alain

Bronica RF 645

KEH is a reliable repair facility
TIP:
If your rangefinder is not accurate carefully remove the black plastic cover to the right of the viewfinder window. Place camera on a tripod, focus the lens on an object at infinity .With a small + screwdriver turn the screw adjustment (mine needed to be turned CCW) one complete turn and recheck infinity focus
Tamaron wanted $100 to do this simple adjustment

I bought my camera from KEH, and when it needed repairs, KEH first lost it, then found it, then couldn't fix it, then sent it to Tamron.... And i never saw the camera again. Apparently Tamron couldn't fix it, either. A fiasco on all fronts....

Great camera, though. When it's working.

I recently had to repair mine. Contacted Tamron US who sent me to Tamron Germany, who suggested Eurohitech.
The least I can say is that I'm not very pleased with the service. Completely phoney invoicing, and only half the work was done (but everything was billed of course). Trying to resolve this with them...

Yes, I'd also like to know how to do the vertical alignment. Have send my camera to Tamron to do this and nothing changed when I got it back. 250 euro's for that...

The film transit of the RF645 isn't robust. Mine was repaired once under warranty, and it started to act up again about a year later. I sold it and bought a Mamiya 7II. No regrets.

Hello,

my RF645 had a broken viewfinder window. I have sent it (from Germany) to Eurohitech (UK).

It's 6 weeks there until now, but on my severals requests, it should be back this week.

I will report my experieces, when the camera is back. Until now, I can't say, that the repair handling was a pleasure for me and I hope, I will positively surprised.

I will see and give a feedback.

Best,

Jens
