My partial list:
Altmans in Chicago
St. Louis Photo in of course St. Louis
Olden NYC
Willoughby's Camera NYC (not the current one)
Camera Barn NYC
Ken Hansen NYC
Wall Street Camera NYC

I had the run of many of these stores, spending hours in the stock rooms, looking for rangefinders and rangefinder parts and accessories. It really was a time when everyone knew your name.
Besides St. Louis Photo, there was also City Photo. They merged and became "City Photo of St. Louis." I haven't been in for years. There is still a mention of them on the web, but I don't know if they are actually still in business.

One of the staff from St. Louis Photo, Wayne Kaiser, is now an executive at Schiller's, a fine photo store in St. Louis.

I miss Jefferson Camera in St. Louis. They folded some 10 or more years ago. Good People.
