I've been absolutely impressed by their grading scale, it's very conservative. BGN stuff is usually in perfectly fine shape.

Anyway, who cares if it actually brackets? Take a shot, adjust exposure up, take a shot, adjust exposure down... etc.

It really seems like the rubbing is happening right along the edge where the lens meets the body though. Like the edge of the lens is rubbing against the inside of the lens mount on the body.

You should just be able to adjust the levels or histogram somewhere, no?

Just make sure there's no black or white slipping, you should get a decent, neutral scan.
