You ought to take a look at the Zeiss C-Biogon...
You ought to take a look at the Zeiss C-Biogon 35/2.8; that's a hell of a lens if you can live with f/2.8 as your max aperture. If not, try the CV 35/1.4 as has been noted.

I looked through some of the shots from Parr, and noted that the EXIF data says they were all taken with a Panasonic GF-1 and the 20mm f/1.7 lens.
