So I shot a wedding this weekend, and rented an M-E to try out. It was cheaper than the m9, so I went with it. I had a blast shooting with it, and overall had a very successful day.

I do not believe there is any way to know for sure, other than the sequential numbering of the files. It does reset after 9,999....and if they reset it (your previous owner) then you wouldnt know...
