Never on a rangefinder, but I use it on my film SLR for fill flash or special effects. It's like 90/10 % for no flash/flash.

I'd rather like to see a Zeiss or a Cosina digital rangefinder of any kind (FF or APS-C or between). These companies have a hell lot more of an experience with RF's.

I'm pretty conservative. For me the MP (new!!!) is the king, M7 comes second (when AE is needed) and M3 - my love at firs sight.

If you do a lot, and I mean a lot of low light shooting, go for the VC 35/1.2. You won't regret it. Otherwise go for the Zeiss. If you're on the budget go for 35/1.7. At least that is what I'd do.
