The 2.8D is basic and functional with its sharp 80mm/2.8 Planar lens but without a meter. It is still also my favorite. This model was produced in the year when I was born. It has to be special!

My wife just bought me a new Rolleiflex, bless her heart. It's an unusual version with the lever and knobs on different sides. Hope no one's jealous.......

I got this camera from my mother when I was 14. That was 25 years ago.
The image was made by putting the camera face down on a scanner. At that time there wa no digital camera available. -a |

Nice Pic!!!!
I have a new Baby Rolleiflex and just cut the red ribbon last month. What a feeling......... |
I lost that red ribbon of my 2.8c ....too bad.
where did you get the new 2.8e? My 2.8c is brought from a flead market that the seller though the red-ribbon means fault. |
got it from a friend's father, who was compulsive collector. I have a 2.8C too.
|
![]() Here's mine. From my grandpa. It has the tessar 3.5. I will try it out tomorrow! |
|
I had no idea about the red ribbons. How thoroughly cool! (And I'm amazed there are new and pristine Rolleiflexes out there still.)

here comes the whole family!
![]() The two Yashica Mat 124 Gs and the little Yashica 44 LM are making fun of the poor little Ross Ensign Ful-Vue Super... I know something is strange about the 124 on the left. It seems to have the body of a Yashica Mat 124 (not "G") but still has the meter and name plate of the "G" version. god knows why. I love both of them. I think the earler chrome lever and copal were a little more bootiful though. Maybe. And this is the 44 all alone and fully armed: ![]() and nekkid: ![]() |

My Ricoh Diacord and Meopta Flexaret Va. They are works in progress. I bought the Flexaret over three years ago but the focusing screen was dim and dirty. I never could figure out how to get the top off so it sat. A friend gave me the Diacord. I cleaned off the focusing screen but I have a hard time focusing on just ground glass. So it sat, too. Then I discovered Rick Oleson's focusing screens with a split image spot. The screens transform these cameras. Now I'm measuring for new leather. More pictures and a longer story at my Flickr set.

I think i already showed off my 2,8F planar & Tele rollei, but they have now been joined by a Rolleicord Vb & a Yashicamat.
