my most used combination. 40mm Nokton mounted on a Leica M2 loading neopan 1600. The rare bronze-coloured m2 rapidwinder is a recent addition

The kind of camera I like.

Looks sweet. I like the look of a camera that has been around. Nice photos too.

thanks. The photos were taken with my bird's canon xti dslr and the 50mm 1.8.

The camera was bought in prague at photo skoda for ~380$. They said the shutter was broken so it was marked at huge discount. It was wrinkled but working fine. I like to think it was Koudelka's leica although I don't have an ounce of evidence to support this wild claim.

My first M, a strange-looking M2, but I really enjoy shhoting film with it again.

Hello everyone,
I got my MP two weeks ago and I guess this is one way of introducing myself...I am new to both Leica and this forum. Love the new camera and I am actually surprised how nice it feels comparing to a dSLR. I am actually considering getting some more Leica gear with time but for now I am really happy with what I have....

Cheers,
Greg

My first M. I originally wanted a M6, but couldn't pass up this classic! The only mark on it is what you see on the bottom plate under the lens.

I'm thinking paint it black to match the Millennium Nikkor

That's a beauty, but I wouldn't paint it. It's in far too good condition for that. Get a slightly more beat up version to paint if you want to paint one.

Just my $.02, but I think you might regret painting it one day.

Very nice!
Similar to my favourite M2/ 35mm Nokton/ Neopan 400 combination! ;)

Adapter is from Amedeo. He sells them on ebay, and sometimes posts here.

My kind of first Leica, I bought a screw mount to learn meterless exposure, but returned it in a day to get this due to the RF being completely fouled.

my old post
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/foru...postcount=2683

i got my M2 back finally! i was so exited i immediately loaded some trix and shot it within an hour of ups arriving.

they overhauled the interior, changed the flash ports to normal ones, and overhauled the lens, it had dust inside and was stiff to focus. they stole the strap rings though...

oh and they recovered the skin or whatever it was that was peeling off. its so smooth now! my M4 cannot compare! the viewfinder is now outstanding.

bidnez 02-24-2009 13:20

good as new :)

nice you got yours too. looks great without the red dot. my M4-P should get a CLA too, but one at a time! or i would be broke! Mine wants the MP type shutter advance arm, and the viewfinder flare fix upgrade. essex doesnt offer that service, so i prabably have to send it to Sherry Krauter.

Nice! My M3 was rejected because it was too nice looking :) Robert was great to email back and forth, and I'll find another M3/2 so I can have a black one too!

Can you post some more pictures?--the top and back?

The Cla is 250$? since Youxin doesnt do M6īs. My guess would be that you will probably need to pay at least 1000$ for the whole thing...

Can you just switch those advance levers yourself or would you have to send the camera in?

And btw, I _love the one with the rapid advance thingy and the black M with the chrome style base plate.
