Where did you get it repainted? I was thinking about doing something like this.

Robert at http://www.rangefinderrestorations.com repainted them. He did an excellent job on 3 of my cameras...

After resisting a digital M for 2 years, a second hand M8 has finally arrived last week. Performs well so far.

my m2 has the 28 finder on it in this pic, it symbolizes my desire for a 28mm lens. this pic is pre CLA...

my M4 has a lot of wear on the film door, and no scratches anywhere else.

tumorous lump of a motor, since i have no bottom plate for it

VERY interested in the Wollensak you got there, care to share any more details on it?

cjm 02-09-2009 09:44

CLE-RF, it's a melting pot of a lens. The glass is Wollensak, the focusing barrel is from an Olympus SLR lens and the mount is Leica M (of course). I took a chance buying it on ebay, mainly because the seller was local and I could make sure it worked. Based on a few test pictures the focusing and frame coverage are fine. It's fully RF coupled and it would focus down to 0.45m but the RF only goes to 0.7m.

I should have some results on my flickr account tonight. :)

Wow, that's a strange concoction. It makes me happy that someone somewhere is using their time making really odd things like that. RF coupling?

This is a conversion I did myself, but I must say, I like the previous depicted Wollensak a lot as well
