Actually, I have started a thread explaining the optical/mechanical structure and performance, sample photos of largest ,smallest aperture as well as the optimal aperture of my lenses. Unfortunately, I have to write in Chinese as it is on a Chinese website. If you are interested you can visit the following

I have a lens that you don't have! It is the tabbed summicron 50 in chrome! Your collection is beautiful!

I thought it worthwhile asking, Ken. :D
I have been fortunate to try out some really excellent lenses belonging to RFF members, including the Noctilux 50mm/1.0, Nikkor 50mm/1.1, Canon 50mm/0.95, ... etc. :)

No, no - I meant that they weren't mine!

The diaphragm on the Summarit is amazing.

amoebahydra,

I was only joking about the microwaves. You have a fantastic collection and if you like to collect Leica gear and can afford to do so, good for you!

A lot... starting from Hologon 1:8/15, Summilux-M 1:1.4/35 Aspherical, Noctilux 1:1.2/50, Thambar 1:4 f=9cm, Mountain Elmar, Stemar...and many more!

Tom A 01-02-2009 13:17

Now, that is a nice collection. I makes me feel better about my modest stash! I probably have more M2's though!

I do not use that often, I have attached two quick shots taken by Stereotar mounted on M8. Please aware that M8 is a 1.32x camera...and as such the effective overlap area is smaller and offset.

amoebahydra 01-02-2009 22:17

Cousins of my Ms...uncoupled Leica R lenses mounted on Ms for fisheye and ultra wide effect!

Fisheye-Elmarit-R 1:2.8/16 mount on M5, Super-Elmar-R 1:3.5/15, Super-Angulon-R 1:4/21, and Elmarit-R 1:2.8/19

Extreme wide experience with Ultra-Wide Heliar 1:5.6/12 on my M1

Holy smokes, that's a pretty serious telescope too. ;)

Yes, lying around is a Takahashi 1:5/1280mm Ritchey-Chrétien telescope attached with a Hassy 2000F/CM; on top of it is a Takahashi 1:5.5/500mm fluorite Apochromat. The 1280mm scope has an image circle covering 4x5" negative, overkill for Hassy...

amoebahydra 01-03-2009 01:50

My Ms, imitation of DSLR and SLR...

M8 with Visoflex III and a Hektor 1:2.5 f=12.5cm and M1 with Visoflex II and a Elmar 1:3.5/65mm. Covering tele and macro application of my Ms.

mabelsound 01-03-2009 13:21

M2 with Schneider (for Robot) Xenon 40mm f/1.9. A great lens! It's screwed into a Robot>LTM adapter, and from there to an LTM>M adapter. Scale focus only, but whatever.
